TABLA GURUKUL
Sri. Deepak Desai had been learning Tabla for nearly three decades and still in pursuit of learning from internationally renowned Tabla exponent and Maestro Guru Pt. Ravindra Yavagal.
"Tabla Gurukul" is the brain child of Deepak, through which he intends to share and propagate the Fine art of Tabla in a similar environment to that of a Gurukul, where the disciple not only gets to have classes but also to go to concerts to listen to other artistes, involve in performing individually and also with his or her gurubandhus (classmates), promoting the overall growth of the learner.
He has the experience of teaching Tabla for more than 15 years now, catering to more than 100 students of all age groups from 5 to 60+, which includes not only school and college students but also working professionals from different sectors of society. Also as an added convenience online (both domestic and foreign) and offline classes (preferably at Guru's place or at Students home as well considering the respective fee) are offered. He also has the experience of working in music schools and NGO, but predominantly for individuals who are enthusiastic in learning the art form in one on one Gurukul system.
TABLA GURUKUL conducts bhaitaks (private interactive performing sessions with guru, students and that community) once every 3 months, a Gurupurnima once every year where students get to perform individually or in groups, where they also hear the performance of fellow Gurubandhus and the Guest artistes or performers from outside as well.
That said, excited to meet up with enthusiastic people in the near future.
